Warehouse Supervisor

On behalf of our client, ProFormance is currently recruiting for candidates for the position of Warehouse Supervisor for their Salinas, CA location. Ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving an optimum stock position of commercial seeds, as well as prompt delivery of the correct products to the customer.

Summary of responsibilities:

Coordinating the reception and storage of seed lots.

Preparing conditioning schedule.

Packing and shipping seeds.

Review and implement departmental procedures.

Facility management.

Preferred skills and/or qualifications will include:

BS or associates degree with technical training in plant engineering, or factory/plant maintenance.

Minimum of 3-5 years of progressing experience and responsibility in a maintenance field, 2 of which were holding a supervisory position directing a multifunctional staff.

Strong mechanical aptitudes and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.

Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.

Familiar with local building codes and OSHA regulations.

Familiar with current health and safety regulations.

Requires strong supervisory skills, along with excellent communication skills(verbal and written).

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations.

Must be a self starter who can work well with people at all levels.

Requires intermediate computer skills.

Other:

Bilingual a plus, but not required.

Previous experience of Management in Warehouse.

Great interpersonal skills.

Ability to hit the ground running.

Previous seed experience.
